The Delhi Against Drugs (DAD) Run is a powerful movement to raise awareness and take action against the growing issue of drug abuse among youth. DAD Run invites citizens from all walks of life to unite in the fight against addiction, promoting health, fitness, and social responsibility.
The Delhi Against Drugs (DAD) Run is part of the STAIRS Against Drugs (SAD) program, a key initiative by the STAIRS Foundation, a National Sports Promotion Organization (NSPO) recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. With a steadfast mission to empower India’s youth through sports and education, STAIRS has made a significant impact nationwide, earning the prestigious Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puruskar. STAIRS continues its commitment to fostering health, fitness, and social responsibility through the SAD program, creating a brighter and healthier future for the next generation.
With the world’s largest adolescent population—253 million strong—and every fifth person in India aged between 10 and 19, the well-being of this generation will define the nation’s future. If these young individuals are safe, healthy, and equipped with the right life skills, the social, political, and economic benefits for India will be immense.
With over 1.428 billion people, including 27.2 per cent of youth aged 15-29 years, India stands at a critical juncture. A drug-free, educated, and empowered youth will strengthen society and drive the country forward as a global leader. The Delhi Against Drugs (DAD) Run aims to rally this massive force towards a common goal—fighting drug abuse and fostering a healthy, progressive future for the nation.
